National Nurses Week starts today (Wednesday, May 6) and runs through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. The theme this year, Compassion—Expertise—Trust, celebrates qualities in nursing that are more important today than ever before as nurses are serving on the front lines of care during the COVID-19 pandemic. Residents are encouraged to call 760-323-6833 with a message of appreciation and support for nurses at Hi-Desert Medical Center, which will be shared with them.
