After another wet winter, warm temperatures and winds are quickly drying out the superbloom vegetation and grasses. The increasing fire danger posed by the high volume of dead vegetation and hotter, drier conditions in the region has led to the County Fire Department and Cal Fire to suspend all burn permits, including in the State Responsibility Areas of San Bernardino County. These burn suspensions take effect today, June 3, and ban all residential outdoor burning of landscape debris such as branches and leaves.
