A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Thursday night after Sheriff’s deputies found him with a concealed handgun. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies contacted Jonathan Lopez, 25, near the intersection of Ocotillo Avenue and Joshua Drive in Twentynine Palms about 9:30 p.m. Deputies learned that Lopez had a warrant for his arrest for not showing up to jail in February following his conviction of obstruction of a peace officer. When Lopez was arrested, deputies found a loaded 9-mm semi-automatic pistol concealed in his pants. Jonathan Lopez was arrested for investigation of possession of a concealed firearm and for his arrest warrant. Lopez was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $25,000.
