A Yucca Valley man was arrested Saturday for hiding a police baton in his shorts pocket. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy saw Michael Dennison, 24, walking near the corner of Church Street and 29 Palms Highway about 1:15 a.m. During a search of Dennison, the deputy located a black baton in his right shorts pocket. Michael Dennison was arrested for investigation of possession of a dangerous weapon, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
