INVESTIGATORS RELEASE NAMES OF 2 VICTIMS OF A YUCCA VALLEY SHOOTING

Sheriff’s Homicide Division investigators are investigating a double shooting in Yucca Valley Monday morning that led to the death of Tymmothy Mosley and the wounding of Nicholas Shine. Detective Kevin McCurdy said Shine, 20, of Yucca Valley went into the USA gas station at Sage Avenue and Highway 62 about 1:30 a.m. and told the clerk he’d been shot. Deputies responded and found Shine inside the business suffering from a gunshot wound. Shine was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs and was treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries in intensive care. Deputies responded to the scene of the shooting, and while they were searching the area near the America’s Best Value Inn and Suites and the movie theater, came upon the body of Tymmothy Mosley, 19, who had been shot and killed. Deputies are presuming the shootings of Shine and Mosley are related. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information related to this investigation is urged to contact Detective McCurdy at 909-387-3589.
