Gallery 62 Art Gallery in Joshua Tree is sponsoring a youth art show in February. Students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade are encouraged to submit their paintings, drawings, sculpture, and photography for inclusion in the judged show. Art teachers may also submit their own art as part of the teachers’ art portion of the show. Intake is set for Tuesday, January 31, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Gallery 62. A closing reception will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, February 26, to honor the artists. Sponsors are needed to help cover the cost of catalogs for the show. Call Ed Keesling at 760-365-8193.
