La Matadora Gallery in Joshua Tree will host an opening party for a youth art show and silent auction fundraiser benefiting the Early Childhood Education Scholarship program through the Institute of Inquiry tonight (July 14) at 7 p.m. Student artwork will be on display from classes over the last 2-3 years, including natural dyes projects, group murals, and more. Prizes for the silent auction include artwork, workshops, and experiences from locals. The gallery will also host free drop-in art classes for children ages 3-6 this Saturday and Sunday (July 17 and 18) from 10-11 a.m. La Matadora Gallery is located at 61857 Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree.
