INPUT SOUGHT ON CHANGES TO YUCCA VALLEY SKATEBOARD PARK AREA

The Yucca Valley skatepark is a popular attraction in the town but it’s time to update the park. Town staff from the Recreation Department will hold an informal design workshop on Wednesday, May 22, where residents can give their ideas about how to improve and enhance the park. Some of the options considered include adding shade shelters, fitness courts, basketball courts, and other recreation features. All ages are invited to attend. The workshop will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Cholla Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center and will include free pizza and raffles. In addition, residents can give their opinions through an online survey.

Visit www.yucca-valley.org and click on the Skate Park Survey link. Paper surveys are also available at the Community Center and Hi-Desert Nature Museum. All completed surveys will be entered into weekly drawings for free swim passes to the community pool.

For more information contact the Community Services Department at 760-369-7211, Monday through Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. or visit www.yucca-valley.org.
