An Indio man was arrested Thursday (January 27) after reportedly running from authorities during a traffic stop. According to Sheriff logs, deputies pulled over a vehicle near Highway 62 and Fox Trail in Yucca Valley for expired tags shortly after 10 p.m. When the vehicle pulled over, a passenger allegedly bailed from the vehicle on foot and was met with a deputy-involved foot pursuit. Sheriff logs reveal that the deputy used force during the pursuit in order to bring the man, identified as Eddie Hardesty, 38, into custody. After being cleared by Hi-Desert Medical Center, Hardesty was booked into the West Valley Detention Center for investigation of resisting arrest and two misdemeanor warrants totaling $1.5 million. With the added charge of resisting arrest, Eddie Hardesty’s bail was set at $1,550,000.
