The inaugural teleconferencing of the County Board of Supervisors meeting occurred at the San Bernardino County Building in Joshua Tree, Tuesday morning. The meeting opened to a packed room of residents, council members from the Morongo Basin, various directors, and county employees. Donna Munoz, Field Representative to Supervisor James Ramos, explains the process. “This will allow the community to be a part of the Board of Supervisors without having to travel to San Bernardino. So they can come here, they can see the Board of Supervisors live, real time and they can also speak to the board and be seen by the board.” Members of the community are very supportive, including Twentynine Palms resident and council member Jim Harris. “I think it’s going to be a great asset to us up here, because we have very little voice down in San Bernardino.” Meetings will be held every other Tuesday at 10 a.m.
