Move more, sit less. When it comes to exercise, think about the long-term. Make it easy on yourself. Just a few minutes of activity each day counts. To help you get in the fitness groove, take a 10-minute brisk walk every day, (and work up to 30 minutes). The American Heart Association recommends strength training at least twice a week and your own body can provide the weight you need to make exercise effective. Do eight to 10 repetitions of arm raises, bicep curls, and triceps extensions (and gradually add weights). All of these can provide benefits for your heart health.
