Identity released of motorcyclist who died from collision on Morongo Grade Saturday (10/19)

The identity of a motorcyclist killed in a collision on the Morongo grade Saturday morning (10/19) has been released by the Riverside County Coroner.

Steven Sullivan, a 61 year-old resident of Huntington Beach, was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Highway 62 one half mile east of Indian Canyon Drive in Desert Hot Springs. The California Highway Patrol reports that Sullivan was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle with a female passenger when he collided with a guard rail. 

Sullivan was pronounced dead at the scene. The female sustained moderate to major injuries and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center.  Both Sullivan and the passenger were wearing helmets and alcohol/drugs were not a factor. CHP is continuing their investigation into the collision.
