The Morongo Basin Humane Society will celebrate Shelter Pet Month by lowering adoption prices through May on all dogs and cats that have been in the shelter for more than six months. Adoption fees have been cut in half; dogs will be $50 and cats will be $30. All pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots. Many puppies and kittens have come in and they are available for the regular adoption fee. Shelter hours are 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. The basin’s only no-kill shelter is located at 4646 Sun View Road, off Sunfair Road, in Joshua Tree. Call 760-366-3786 for more information.
