The Morongo Basin Humane Society’s roof was damaged during the heavy rains last month. To raise money to repair the roof, the shelter is holding a car wash Saturday, September 28, from 9 to 2 at Ultimate Motors, 56815 Twentynine Palms Highway, in Yucca Valley. A donation of $10 is requested for all size vehicles. Donations of dog and cat food, as well as cleaning supplies, will also be accepted at the car wash.
