A set of decomposed human remains were found by four children in the desert in the Flamingo Heights area of Yucca Valley Saturday morning. Sheriff’s deputies were called at 11:20 a.m. by a woman who said her children were in a wash south of Longview Road and Breezy Lane when they found a human skull and clothing in a large rock pile. Sheriff’s Captain Trevis Newport told Z107.7 News that at this time, they have no idea who it is; it is possible it might be someone who was already reported missing, but they won’t know anything until some type of identification is made by the coroner. There is nothing yet to indicate foul play. The remains were transported to the coroner’s office for autopsy.
