Human remains found by a man walking his dog in Twentynine Palms are being investigated as “historical” by the County Sheriff’s Department.
On Saturday morning (November 4) at around 9 a.m., an unidentified man walking his dog near Canyon Road and Two Mile Road in Twentynine Palms discovered what appeared to be human skeletal remains.
The man contacted Sheriff’s Deputies, who arrived along with representatives with the County Coroner’s office. A search was conducted for additional remains in the area, but non were found.
Though the investigation is ongoing, the remains are currently presumed to be historical.
