What would you do if the tap suddenly sputtered and stopped? The Joshua Basin Water District reminds us about the importance of safe, clean water for emergency preparations. You should store a minimum of one gallon of water per person per day for three days. Make sure to sanitize and store the water containers in a cool, dark place, and replace the water every six months. In the event of a widespread disaster that disrupts communication, disinfect your tap water until you know that the water is safe.
