Households that receive food stamps or CalWORKS may not have to complete a separate application for free or reduced-price meals. Instead, school officials will enroll those students directly and will notify families of their eligibility. Residents who are a part of these programs but who haven’t been notified of their eligibility by August 12, should apply themselves. Other families may apply and be evaluated based upon household size and income. Applications are available online at the school district’s website, www.morongo.k12.ca.us or at the schools, and may be made at any time during the school year.
