HOUSE AND RV DESTROYED IN WONDER VALLEY FIRE EARLY SATURDAY MORNING

A Wonder Valley house and RV were completely destroyed in a fire early Saturday morning (August 21). According to San Bernardino County Fire Battalion Chief Mike McClintock, crews were dispatched around 3 a.m. for a report of a structure fire in the 6000 block of Shelton Road in Wonder Valley. Arriving crews discovered a house and RV well involved in flames. Fire crews attacked the fire, keeping it from spreading to nearby vegetation. An energized power line fell during the firefight, causing a hazard to fire crews. Crews had the fire knocked down in about 30 minutes. There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
