An electrical malfunction is believed responsible for a hot tub fire Thursday night in Yucca Valley. About 11:05 p.m., firefighters were called to the 1400 block of Avalon where they found the hot tub smoldering on the back patio. No other structures were threatened, and firefighters quickly put out the fire.
