The Hi-Desert Medical Center Board of Directors today convenes a 4:30 p.m. closed session meeting with legal counsel in connection with the Dennis Wilcox suit. Wilcox was formerly the chief of medical staff. Chair Pat Cooper calls the regular monthly open session meeting to order at 6 p.m. followed by the flag salute led by Miss Yucca Valley and her court. Following the expected approval of items on the consent agenda, the board will consider approval of the process for naming the mammography suite and recognizing large donors. Following that and regular reports, the board will again adjourn to closed session. It all happens at the Helen Gray Education Center on the hospital campus.
