Hi-Desert Hospice is recruiting volunteers and certified therapy animals to visit patients. Volunteers provide respite for the patients’ caregivers, or simply spend time visiting the patients. If you have a desire to make a difference in the lives of the terminally ill and their families, you are invited to an open house on September 5, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The address is 6601 White Feather Road, Suite A5 in Joshua Tree. For more information, call 760-366-6427.
