The Yucca Valley Planning Commission voted at its meeting last night to approve the request to expand Hope Academy Charter School in the Yucca Valley Town Center Mall. The commission voted 3-1, with Jeff Evans recusing himself, to approve the 14,000 square-foot addition of 10 classrooms and a multi-purpose room. Steve Whitten voted against the expansion, citing concerns that the school was too close to the highway.
