High Desert Beekeepers Association meets tomorrow from noon to 2 p.m. at The Nourishing Tree in Joshua Tree. Winter hive preparation is the topic of discussion and Charla Shamhart will give a report from the Apitherapy Society conference where more than half the attendees were beekeepers. High Desert Beekeepers Association is about educating and establishing a community of support for new and current beekeepers in the desert. You do not have to be a beekeeper to attend; just have an interest in honeybees. The Nourishing Tree is on the highway near Sunburst in Joshua Tree.
