Updates on some grass roots and legal challenges to the fire protection zone 5 will be hot topics at Monday’s meeting of the Homestead Valley Community Council. The community council will also discuss the county’s new community action plan and as always; representatives from the Sheriff’s Department, County fire, and CalFire will be available to answer questions. The meeting is set for 3 p.m. Monday, October 15, in the Johnson Valley Community Center, 50567 Quailbush Road in Johnson Valley.
