The Homestead Valley Community Council will meet today (August 16) at 3 p.m. Agenda items include a discussion on the recent county ordinance Increasing fines for illegal marijuana cultivation and a reading of Assemblyman Thurston Smith’s letter to Governor Gavin Newsome requesting a special session to address Proposition 64. The council will also hear reports from the Public Outreach and Scenic Highway 247 committees. San Bernardino County Supervisor Dawn Rowe plans to attend, as well as representatives from the fire department and law enforcement agencies. Monday’s meeting will be held at the Yucca Mesa Community Center, 3133 Balsa Ave., just off Aberdeen Rd.
