HOMESTEAD VALLEY COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETS MONDAY

The Homestead Valley Community Council will meet 3 p.m. Monday, June 17, at the Johnson Valley Community Center.  On the agenda is a discussion on the Summer Solstice Fest, set for Saturday, June 22 at Homestead Valley Park. Also under discussion will be the crashes on Highway 247, the increase in big truck traffic, and impatient commuters. There will be an update on the FP-5 fire fee. County Supervisor Dawn Rowe plans to be at the meeting, as well as representatives State Senator Shannon Grove’s office, and from the Sheriff’s Department, County Fire, and CalFire. The Johnson Valley Community Center is on Quailbush Road, just off Larrea Road.
