The Homestead Valley Community Council will hear from the Department of Behavioral Health’s Community Crisis Response team at its meeting Monday, April 15. Red Brennan Group’s Tom Murphy will be there. This non-profit group has hired legal representation to oppose the County Fire Department expansion of Fire Protection Zone 5 (FP-5).
Representatives from the Sheriff’s Department, County Fire, and State Senator Shannon Grove and Supervisor Dawn Rowe will also be at the meeting. The Homestead Valley Community Council is for residents of or property owners in Johnson Valley, Flamingo Heights, Landers, or Yucca Mesa. The meeting will be held at 3 p.m. in the Yucca Mesa Community Center, 3133 Balsa Avenue.
