HOMESTEAD VALLEY COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETS MONDAY

A slideshow presentation on the campaign to have State Route 247 declared a scenic highway will be the main topic at Monday’s meeting of the Homestead Valley Community Council. In addition, residents will receive an update on the county’s controversial Policy 4.10 in the Renewable Energy and Conservation Element, which the county’s planning commission will discuss at its May 24 meeting. The county’s version of Policy 4.10 conflicts with designating State Route 247 as a scenic highway. The meeting starts at 3 p.m. at Belfield Hall on Reche Road in Landers.
