HOMESTEAD VALLEY COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETS IN JOHNSON VALLEY MONDAY

The Homestead Valley Community Council meets in the Johnson Valley Community Center at 3 p.m. this Monday (October 19). County Supervisor Dawn Rowe, Captain Niles from the Sheriff’s Department, and possibly representatives from County Fire departments and State Senator Shannon Grove will be in attendance. Items for discussion include the spread of illegal pot farms, the ban on building permits if you must use hauled water, the Countywide Plan that replaces our Homestead Valley Plan, and the proposed Stagecoach Solar project industrializing 3,000 acres of undisturbed State Lands next to Hwy 247. Masks and social distancing are required, non-contact thermometer and hands-free hand sanitizer are available. The meeting will be held at 50567 Quailbush Rd. at the corner of Larrea Rd. just 1-3/4 miles from Hwy 247.
