One topic under discussion at this month’s meeting of the Homestead Valley Community Council will be public safety in the Homestead Valley and the Morongo Basin. The HVCC represents the communities of Yucca Mesa, Landers, Flamingo Heights, and Johnson Valley. The meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, October 19, at the Johnson Valley Community Center, 50567 Quailbush Road, 1 ¾ miles up Larrea Road from Highway 247. The public is invited.
