The Homestead Valley Community Council will hold its monthly meeting Monday, August 21. On the agenda are updates on the hauled water ban, the Ord Mountain solar project and Siena solar project, as well as clean-up at Giant Rock, set for September 8. The council represents the communities of Yucca Mesa, Landers, Flamingo Heights, and Johnson Valley. Representatives from the Sheriff’s Department, as well as County Fire and CalFire will also be in attendance. The meeting starts at 3 p.m. at the Yucca Mesa Community Center on Balsa Avenue.
