Reach Out Morongo Basin’s annual “Parade of Homes” has become a February tradition for desert dwellers. For the past 15 years, many hundreds have set out on the tour, while many others have opened their hearts and homes to them. If your Morongo Basin home showcases unique qualities of our desert community, consider adding it to the 2020 “Parade of Homes” tour set for February 16. Each year the tour generates thousands of dollars to support area seniors and disabled residents. In all, six homes are on the self-guided tour. Organizers at Reach Out Morongo Basin are searching for unique homes for what is the non-profit’s annual flagship fundraiser. Perhaps you have an astonishing architectural masterpiece or maybe a renovated homestead cabin that would showcase our desert way of life? Executive Director Robin Schlosser says it’s the generosity of owners who open their homes that make this event such a success.
