The Morongo Basin Haven will hold a free informational and health screening event Thursday, October 22. Representatives from various organizations will offer dental and medical screenings and hygiene kits. The Morongo Basin Project Connect event will also offer support services for low-income and homeless residents on family, housing, mental health, substance abuse, SSI benefits, legal advice, and employment services. Project Connect will be held this Thursday from 10 to 3 at the Joshua Tree Sportsman’s Club on Sunburst Avenue.
