In Yucca Valley, the town hall, building and safety offices, and Senior Center will close December 24 and re-open January 2. However, Yucca Valley residents can still schedule building inspections for December 26, 27, 30, and 31. Schedule an inspection by calling 760-365-0099, option 5.

Beginning December 24, the Yucca Valley animal shelter will be open by appointment only for residents to retrieve impounded animals. Call the shelter at 760-365-3111 to schedule an appointment or to leave a message about a lost pet. Shelter staff will return calls every day between 8 and 10 a.m. Kennel runs are available outside the shelter for anyone who wants to drop off a found animal. Anyone who needs assistance with animals during the holiday closure should call the Sheriff’s Department dispatch at 760-365-2364.
Burrtec Waste and Recycling will be closed December 25 and January 1. Waste and recycling collection scheduled for Wednesday and later during these two weeks will be delayed by one day.
