A 47-year-old woman had to be rescued off the High View Nature Trail at Black Rock Canyon in Joshua Tree National Park 8:30 Tuesday morning. The unidentified woman injured her ankle while hiking and couldn’t hike out. Firefighters called in a Sheriff’s helicopter, who hoisted the woman out and flew her to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs.
