A hit-and-run driver damaged the garage door of the Morongo Valley Fire Department last night. About 11:30 p.m., firefighters inside the station heard a loud bang, and when they got up to investigate, they saw a small, newer model, dark-colored, 4-door sedan leaving the scene. The car had crashed into the fire station’s garage door, and pushed it in quite a bit, according to Fire Engineer Ross. He said they used their hydraulic tools to push it back out again. The Sheriff’s Department is investigating. Anyone with information should call 760-366-4175.
