Wednesday, September 14 at 5:30 p.m., join the Morongo Basin Historical Society as they present “Stories of Willie Boy: A Lasting Desert Legacy.” Presented by Ruth Nolan, author, historian, desert poet and lecturer. She will discuss reasons why the Willie Boy episode continues to spawn interest and inquiry. Nolan will also explore the body of scholarly and artistic works dedicated to Willie Boy’s Legacy. The lecture will be held at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum, 57116 29 Palms Highway in Yucca Valley. A $5 donation is requested.
