After this weekend, the Historical Society Museum and Marketplace in Landers will close for the summer. Reporter Diana Jones says check it out…
Saturday, June 7 is the last Museum Marketplace at the Morongo Basin Historical Society’s Museum until September. Vendors at the marketplace sell crafts, artisan breads, jewelry, collectibles, clothing, and other treasures. Vendor fees are $20, or $10 for Historical Society members. All proceeds are used to restore the original Landers Post Office, and volunteers are needed to upgrade the electricity, to preserve the exterior, or just to tell stories about the post office’s history. The marketplace is set for 9 to 1 at 632 Landers Lane in Landers. For more information, call Laurie Geeson at 760-363-6681.
