The Morongo Basin Historical Society will hold its first marketplace of the 2016-17 season Saturday, October 1. For sale will be a drop-leaf table and chairs, a roll-top desk, rugs, Chinese décor, and more. Stock up on Halloween items. The hours are 9 to 2 at the historical society’s office, 632 Landers Lane in Landers, right around the corner from the Orchid Festival.
