The Twentynine Palms Historical Society Red Hot Auction on Saturday, August 23, raised $7,000. All of the money raised will be used to pay for the Hastie Bus restoration loan. Between the silent and live auctions, there were more than 150 items up for bid, with local art work and historical item getting the most attention. According to auctioneer Larry Bowden, generous donations, lively bidding and great weather for the evening all added up to a fun and successful auction. “It was a great community event; thanks go out to everyone who helped make it possible,” said Bowden.
