Marshal South was a desert writer who lived an isolated life with his family on Ghost Mountain. South’s writings won him worldwide recognition, including praise from Theodore Roosevelt. Diana Lindsay wrote a book about South entitled “Marshal South and the Ghost Mountain Chronicles,” and she will present a lecture and book signing at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum’s second Wednesday lecture series on Wednesday, April 11, starting at 5:30.
