Due to the increased number of highway fatalities between Morongo Valley and Yucca Valley, CalTrans is beginning an emergency project to place flexible post pavement markers along the median, and restripe the median, of Highway 62 between Pioneer Drive/ East Drive and Fairway Drive. All this week, east- and westbound lanes will be closed at times from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. During construction, please pay close attention to moving equipment and posted signs along the route.
