High winds are blamed for blowing over an empty semi-trailer on Highway 62 Wednesday morning. The California Highway Patrol reports that at 9:06 a.m., the big rig, which was traveling southbound on Highway 62, was blown over just before the connector ramp from the highway to Interstate 10, blocking both lanes of traffic. The highway was closed for more than 2 ½ hours as crews worked to remove the semi. There were no injuries.
