Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats Boys Tennis Team traveled to Desert Hot Springs High School yesterday and defeated the Golden Eagles 16-2. Coach Larry Battle said all players on the team got the opportunity to see action yesterday.
The Twentynine Palms varsity golf team traveled to Coachella Valley yesterday (Monday April 1) and came away with a non-league victory 226-255. Coach Grant Whipple said standouts for the team were Austin Aretakis, 41; Brandon Steffins, 42; and Morgan Cole, 45. The ‘Cats travel to Desert Hot Springs today in a league match against Desert Hot Springs High School.
Coming up in high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley High School Trojan baseball team will host Desert Mirage High School from Thermal at home. First pitch is at 3:30.
The Twentynine Palms High School track team will travel away to Desert Hot Springs. The first event is at 3. The Wildcat baseball and softball teams travel away tomorrow to Big Bear to play the Bears. First pitch for both games is at 3:30. Cross-basin rivals Yucca Valley High School and Twentynine Palms High School swim teams will compete tomorrow in Yucca Valley. The meet begins at 3:15.
