HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS: SCORES AND SCHEDULES

The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ varsity tennis team hosted the Rams of Desert Mirage Wednesday. Coach Bill Shay said the Wildcats came up with a decisive win over the Rams, 15 to 3.  In singles action, the Wildcats were led by John Lanza, who won all three of his sets, and John Pressnall and Mark Isarraraz, who each won two of their sets. In doubles action, the Wildcats were led by Brett Hope and Nathan Thomas, who won all three of their sets. Raul Hernandez and Manny Rodriguez and Colby Thomas and Sean Sears both won two of their sets while Camerin Rimmington and Seth Erdman came away with a solid win. The Wildcats finished the year 6-4 and took third place in the league. The Wildcats will travel to Indian Wells next week for the De Anza League finals. 
 
Coming up in high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley High School track team will travel away to Corona to participate in the Frosh/Soph Showdown, starting at 8 a.m.
 
The swim meet scheduled for Friday, April 29, between the Wildcats and Desert Mirage High School has been postponed until Monday, May 2.
