The Twentynine Palms High School golf team traveled to Apple Valley Wednesday and met with a very good Apple Valley high school team. The Wildcats lost the match 266 to 220. Thursday, the Wildcats hosted the Desert Hot Springs Eagles and came away with a league victory, 255 to 291. Coach Gary Bell said the Wildcats were led in the match by Justin Delarosa with a 41 and Chris Waring shooting 49. The win brings the team’s league record to 2 and 0, and the overall record to 4 and 2.
Coming up in high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms High School track and field teams will travel away to Beaumont for the Beaumont Invitational meet, starting at 8 a.m.
Also tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School softball team will travel away to play Indio High School in a double header, starting at 10 a.m.
