In high school sports today, the Yucca Valley High School wrestling team will host Beaumont High School in Trojan Gym in the first dual competition of the season. Wrestling starts at 6 p.m. with a small entry fee and a full snack bar.
The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team traveled to Hemet last night and lost a opening round game in the Mustang Tip-Off tournament to Redlands Easy Valley 66-51. Coach Jess Geeson said Seniors Annika Dendekker and September Shaw-Fryer led the scoring with 12 points and 11 points respectively, while sophomore Savannah Beasley added 10 points. The girls head back down again today for a 6pm second round game against Heritage HS.
