The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball team beat the Eagles at Desert Hot Springs in five sets. Coach Missy Bond said the Ladycats were led by senior Latasia Benevente with 10 kills and three ace serves. Junior Tatiyanna Mackall had nine kills, one block, one ace serve, and five assists. Senior Gabby Salcido had eight kills for the night. Sophomore Lindsey Scamman had three kills and one block, while junior Mara Mapuatuli added two kills and two assists. The Ladycats are now 6-4 in league.
Coming up in high school sports tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School volleyball team will host Desert Mirage High School at home. First serve is at 4:30. All are invited to come and support the Ladycats and its senior players on Thursday for Senior Night in Wildcat Gym.
Also tomorrow, the Joshua Springs Lightning volleyball team will host Bloomington Christian at home; first serve is at 5:30.
