The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball team beat the Big Bear Bears Bears at home yesterday. Coach Missy Bond said the Ladycats were led by junior Tatiyanna Mackall with 14 kills, five blocks and four ace serves. Senior Latasia Benevente had seven kills. Junior Mara Mapuatuli had four kills, two blocks and one assist. Senior Allix Durrum had two kills, two ace serves, one block and 12 assists. Sophomore Hope Culver had two ace serves, nine digs and was 12-for-12 at the serving line. The Ladycats are now 5-4 in league. Bond said Wildcats of the week are Hope Culver and Breanna Panzarella.
In high school sports tonight, the Yucca Valley High School Trojan football team will travel away to Rancho Mirage High School.
The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat football team will travel away to Desert Hot Springs to play the Golden Eagles.
And the Joshua Springs football team will host Desert Christian Academy at home.
Kick off for all games is at 7 p.m.
